Following is a list of upcoming exhibits, for participation by artists who are members of the Art Council’s affiliates:

Oct. 28-Nov. 30. “Harvest of Art,” Visual Arts Center. Reception, Nov. 2, 5 p.m. Receiving, Oct. 27, 9 a.m.-noon.
Nov. 5-Nov. 29. “Perception Art Show” (at Barron Park House Gallery), Arts of the Inland. Reception, Nov. 3, 5-7 p.m. Receiving, Oct. 31, 3-6 p.m.
Dec. 5-Dec 29. “Flights of Fancy,” Visual Arts Center. Reception, Dec. 7, 5-7 p.m. Receiving, Dec. 3, noon-3 p.m.
Dec 7-Jan. 12. “Captiva Memories” (at Captiva Civic Center), Sanibel-Captiva Art League. Reception, Dec. 7, 5-7 p.m. Receiving, Nov. 28 & Nov. 29, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., both days.
Dec. 9, 5-8 p.m. Cape Coral Art Leaguewinners of the League’s Holiday Card Contest will be announced at the league’s “Celebrate the Holidays” event. The winning cards — in a range of media and the theme “Holidays through Theater, History or Art” — will be recreated as a giant card and displayed outside the league’s building. (Submission deadline Oct. 27.)

And holiday sales . . .

Nov. 3-Dec. 29. Art League of Fort Myers“Miniature Sale” to benefit the Art League. Miniature paintings no larger than 5″ x 7″, for only $20. The league will also be exhibiting its show “Cornucopia” during the same period (sale prices $200 or less).
Nov. 11, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Alliance for the Arts“Arts and Ends Holiday Sale,” more than a dozen local artists offering their work.
Dec. 1. Cape Coral Arts Studio“28th Annual Holly Daze Bazaar,” during regular business hours.
Dec. 1-Dec. 3. Visual Arts Center “Holiday Market” (Friday, noon-7 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Handcrafted by local artists.
