About us:
The Art Council of Southwest Florida was established in 1963. Today it consists of 16 member organizations in Lee, Charlotte, Glades, Hendry, and Collier Counties with a combined membership that exceeds 4,500. Working together the Art Council presents a strong voice for the arts in the coastal Southwest Florida region.
Our Mission:
The purpose of the Council is to provide and coordinate educational opportunities in the arts, promote appreciation for the arts and artists in Southwest Florida, encourage the exchange of ideas among member artists and to coordinate the activities and the exhibition dates of member organizations.
Opportunities & Benefits of Membership:
Membership in affiliated organizations offers numerous Council opportunities to area artists. Among the Council benefits available to these members are:
Famous Artist Workshops, exhibition privileges in league galleries and the business community, art classes, critiques, judged and juried shows, workshops, demonstrations, special trips and lectures at fellow member leagues.
Membership in organizations affiliated with the ACSWF is open to all. We encourage you to become an active member of your local organization. Excellent instruction and opportunities await you.
